Expected use
The CMV IgG or IgM ELISA is designed for use in the detection of IgG or IgM against CMV virus in human serum or plasma.
Summary and explanation
The purified CMV antigen is coated onto the surface of the microwells. Serum or diluted plasma from the patient is added to the wells and the CMV IgG / IgM specific antibody, if present, binds to the antigen. All unbound materials are washed away. The HRP conjugate is washed and a TMB reagent solution is added. The catalytic reaction of the enzyme conjugate stops at a specific time. The intensity of the color generated is proportional to the amount of specific IgG / IgM antibody in the sample.
