The One Step Myoglobin Test Kit (MYO) is a convenient and rapid immunochromatographic assay for the detection of MYO at or above the 50 ng / ml limit in human serum or plasma samples. Myoglobin has a molecular mass of 17.8 KD, it exists mainly in the myocardium and skeletal muscle. In AMI, plasma Myo generally rises 2 to 3 hours after the onset of chest pain, peaks in 9 to 12 hours, and returns to baseline levels in 24 to 36 hours. Myo is also one of the most important myocardial markers, with well-established roles in confirming acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and in monitoring reperfusion during thrombolytic therapy after AMI.
