Expected use
The HSV-Ⅰ IgG or IgM ELISA is designed for use in the detection of IgG or IgM against the herpes simplex virus HSV-Ⅰ in human serum or plasma.
Summary and explanation
Purified HSV Ⅰ antigen is coated onto the surface of the microwells. Serum or diluted plasma from the patient is added to the wells and the HSV-ⅠlgG / IgM specific antibody, if present, binds to the antigen. All unbound materials are washed away.
The HRP conjugate is washed and a TMB reagent solution is added. The catalytic reaction of the enzyme conjugate stops at a specific time. The intensity of the color generated is proportional to the amount of specific IgG / IgM antibody in the sample.
